In 'N Out Monkey Style - Dude, no way!

This may not mean much to a large portion of you, not living out here in the Western states. So if you don't know, In' N Out makes an awesome hamburger!

By now most of us know about the "Secret Menu" at In 'N Out. Stuff like Animal Style burgers and Animal Style fries. One of my personal faves, the Neopolitan shake. Well the word just got out of a new Secret Menu item thats going around. Wait for it....

Yeah, I would definitely have to pass on that as I feel their fries are the worst fast food fries available. Although, I'm sure if you get a copy of the secret menu, there is a way to tell them to make the fries not terrible. I just don't know how to communicate that.

You know, I used to hate their fries too. They grew on me a bit. Ordering them Animal Style makes them pretty darn good, adds melted cheese, grilled onions and spread. I think I know what you're saying about them, and if I'm correct you want to order their fries "Well Done". They cook them a little longer and that makes them more crispy.

Also, user comments on the foodbeast.com article have 'quotes' from In N Out management claiming that it is company policy to not put fries on top of burgers.

Really, in and out is the worst fast food burger I've had bar none. Even tried a few stores in different cities because of tbe rabid fans thinking must have been a bad store. Like going to a Starbucks were they pack the filter to the brim or one that actually weighs out coffee out.

Along with 5 Guys Burger, In N' Out is the best! There's a cult following with them. One of the big perks of being a S. Californian.

Oh, man, 5 Guys! That is the ultimate right there. Beats the pants off In 'N Out in my book but In 'N Out would come in second. We've recently gotten a Fatburger locally, and I'm anxious to try it too! Been 20yrs since I've eaten there.

I feel the same way about the fries, just terrible. And once they cool down they are even worse.

Hadn't heard of that burger chain. Title sure is interesting, though not what you expect to read about on B and B.

I prefer it to last longer than that, just for the record.

We do have Five Guys here. That's a pretty darn tasty burger, too. I still wish I could sink my teeth into a double double, though. I do have to agree that fries aren't the greatest at In-N-Out. Five Guys wins that one, hands-down.
Fatburger rocks, too, John. Double Fat w/ Cheese and a fried egg? Add bacon? Good Lord! I can feel my arteries hardening right now! Ya-Hooo! I've been waiting to use the bacon smilie forever, too.

I have to say the only good thing at In N Out are their shakes. It doesnt matter what flavor shake you get, they are all superb. The burgers and fries...Meh...

I like in n outs burgers but for fast food burgers gimme whataburger. Fortunately in New Orleans we have excellent non fast food burger joints like Bud's Broiler, Port o Call, and others. I like Landry's burger with a soft shell crab on top of the meat. Yum!

I like Whataburger, too. Man! I'm getting that old traveling jones again.
And Port o Call has EXCELLENT steaks, too! Isn't that down on Esplanade? (sorry if I mis-spelled it). I haven't been to New Orleans since JUST before Katrina. That was one place (of MANY) I thought about.
