ok so i may be coming to have a merkur 33c classic but what i was wondering what razor does everyone else prefer the HD or classic

The HD gets much more mention and praise around here, but don't discount the mighty little 33C. It is a great everyday shaver. My prediciton is that you will wind up trying both eventually.
Never used the 33c so can't comment, but I have the HD and I love it. Highly recommended.

The HD cost a few more bucks. A little heavier, same razor head, 2 piece instead 3 piece, easier to resell.
With the HD your stuck with the handle that's attached to the head.
With the classic you can use any handle designed for a 3 piece razor.

If you want a new merkur get the 1904. Its the same head as the classic and HD but with a sexy handle. Plus its cheap at WCS.

I own and like an HD, but the 1904 is my favorite DE!
Do you know of any sites or links to new handels? I might be interested in a new handle for my 33C.

No one currently.
I just checked and my 1904 head fits my Tech handles.
The HD is a very good razor. Even more for the beginer. Has a good balance andaggressiveness. I recommend it widely.
