48 euros for a 5/8 Dovo, it looks like a good razor to start learning with and awesome value,

I started shaving with an antique Joseph Allen & Sons Non XLL. It was like $25 from a good source on Ebay and shave ready. It was shave ready. My advice would be start on the budget to see what you like, just make sure it's shave ready. The other advice don't wait go for it, and get a strop. Sorry, I don't have experience with new Dovo's.

The Dovo I wanted originally was like $80 US. I went antique/vintage to save money.

48 Euros is $65.41 US.

Dovos are solid razors. It's really a question of how much you are comfortable spending. Personally, I prefer vintage, but that's just my preference. Not sure it's really founded on anything either...
