If I could only choose one, the choices for me would have to be the ones I could get the most utilitarian purpose from.
I would want a generic shave with generic scents. Without some variety, shaving would again be, just a mindless chore or duty that I would want to hurry up and finish in the quickest and most expedient way. So with that being said,
1. Trac II Razor Handle
2. Trac II Cartridges
3. Arko
4. Any available hand and body lotion would do for a balm
5. Witch Hazel for a splash
6. Brush would just be some type of synthetic
Get in, get out and I guess, just focus and enjoy the different varieties of cologne I would spray on afterwards, since I wouldn’t enjoy the shave anymore.
Which would yield a comfy shave for a bargain price and geee I would save extra on mosquito repellent air freshener and do not have to worry about 1.5m nor my own breath behind the mask
1. Safety razor in the form of my Game Changer with barberpole handle.
While I started exploring straight razors over a year ago, I am totally satisfied with my Game Changer and have no interest in exploring other DEs at this time with the caveat that I don't use it as much anymore. I could probably only use the 0.84 base plate for the rest of my life, but I would also want to keep the 0.68 open comb plate. Love my Game Changer!
This is a very easy one for me since it is already what I use, and I like it just fine.
Razor...Above the Tie Windsor with mild copper plate.
Blades...Gillette Silver Blue. I like Israeli Personna as well but get better blade life with the Gillette.
Soap...Martin de Candre. Favorite scent is Fougere, but Agrumes is nice, too.
Brush...Kent BK4, although I do rotate with its black handled twin, the BKB4.
Balm...No thank you, but I like a post shave shower with Cremo Blue Cedar and Cypress.
Aftershave...4711 cologne. I would be just as happy with Acqua di Selva, but it costs more.
1. Safety Razor would be Gillette New Type
2. Blade would be Lord Platinum
3. Shave Soap would be Tabac
4. Shave cream would be GFT Spanish Leather
5. Aftershave Splash would be Pinaud Clubman Original
and would add ...
6. Shave brush would be Semogue 1305 boar
Razor: Razorock 2nd generation Lupo.72 stainless steel, nice mid range.
Brush: Yaqi synthetic brush, 24mm to 26mm knot diameter. ( Evil Zebra handle 26mm knot comes to mind, very nice brush in all aspects)
Blade: Gillette silver blue, sharp & smoooth with reasonable longevity.
Soap: Haslinger Schafmilch, triple milled soap, nice mild fresh scent with excellent lather qualities.
After shave: Razorock Emperor(Creed Aventus knock off.)
Post shave: CeraVe moisturizing lotion(balm) + scentless, works very well for my wintery dry skin.
I'm glad this is a hypothetical thought because I enjoy variety but there are lots of folks out there who have one razor, one brush and just a simple soap and are content, been there & done that while cartridge shaving for decades.
1. Safety Razor = the one on my counter
2. Blade = the one on my counter
3. Shave Soap or Creme = the one on my counter
4. Aftershave Balm = the one on my counter
5. Aftershave Splash = the one on my counter
6. Brush = the one on my counter
