What's new

I wish Pinaud would make.

Ever since I've discovered Pinaud products. I've been wearing the original Clubman and the Virgin Island bay rum all the time, even though I have other colognes. I Just can't get enough of those 2 scents and look forward to trying the others.

Now this is not about the aftershave (thats why I posted it here) and I know the Pinaud makes other products. But I just thought up a couple of more that I wish they would make. You may laugh, but I'd have to purchase them if they came out.

The first would be a deodorant/anti perspirant. Like I said I'd buy it, but I'm not sure it would be a big seller.

The second would be a car air freshener. I'd prefer a VIBR scent for this one, as I don't want my car to smell like a barber shop with the Clubman original.

So what do you say?

Is this something you would buy?:thumbup1: Or have I been inhaling too much Pinaud, and this is this the silliest thing you ever heard:lol:

There can never be enough Pinaud. I know I have stockpiled way too much. Just got some Special Reserve today - good strong stuff. Plus I've got two large bottles and one small of original Clubman and two large bottles of VIBR.

I do like the idea of deoderant/antiperspirant - I'd definitely get some.

It is interesting when companies start making more products than what they just started with, like Old Spice, Dunhill, Ferrari. Sometimes it strengthens the brand and sometimes it makes you think... well you were really good at making .... why don't you keep making ... and let the other guys fool around with that stuff.

I think a VIBR car freshener would be awesome! I practically bathe in that stuff, heck, I'll even throw it on to bed once and a while.

I figure if Hoppe's #9 can make an air freshener, then a Pinaud VIBR shaped bottle air freshener would deffinatly sell too.

Deodorant:
They do make deodorant, although it is in a pump spray bottle.

Air Freshener:
Make yourself one! Surely it would be rather easy to condense the scent if some aftershave in the microwave, then use that to scent a piece of fiberboard or cardboard, or maybe an old vanilla car Freshener that is used up.

Or just pour some aftershave into a small pump spray bottle, and give the car a couple sprays every time you get it.

Never knew about the Clubman Deodorant. I even did a dearch on Amazon and came up with nothing. Thanks for the site link. I'll be giving that a try for sure. Just hope I don't break out as I'm sensitive to certain deodorants.

I was thinking that making an air freshener wouldn't be that difficult. And soaking one of my old tree air fresheners with it. Will have to give that a try and let you guys know how it works out.

I've seen Musk, Vanilla, black and spice air fresheners. That is what gave me an idea for a VIBR air freshener, I bet they would sell well and maybe even increase sales of VIBR aftershave. As I don't think the scent is that well known to the general public.

I have seen an aerosol anti-perspirant by Clubman at Rubinov's in Phoenix last year. They also have the shampoo that I just can't get enough of.

I have it on good authority that you can take one of those car deodorizers that have the interchangeable bottles and clean out an empty. Maybe fill it with plain alcohol and let the wick carry a bottle's worth up for a week or so. Then fill it up with Clubman and you're on your way. These are the things that are done by those driven mad by Pinaud.

my father-in-law had this humungous candle whose scent could only be described as overwhelmingly clubman/canoe. i don't think he even realized it. on a visit, my wife was so offended by the scent she made the poor thing "disappear". in all fairness, it was terrible.
