I smell nice

Yesterday i sat down on the couch with SWMBO, she gave me a hug and said "You smell nice"! I said "What do you mean? What do I smell like" and she said "Fresh . . . . like fresh washing" and she smelled my shirt and seemed surprised that wasn't it.

Then i realised what happened . . . . . ARKO!!!! I hadn't shaved yet, but had just finished grating up my stick of Arko into a bowl. I must have still had some of the scent on my hands!

Previously (although she hadn't complained about the smell) after i shaved she said I smell like an old man after shaving (I'm 36). So to her Arko must have a bit of an "old-man" smell.

However, I take this as a win for Arko now that "I smell nice".

Wow, I think you need to venture out, and start wearing some quality colognes!! I can't imagine any woman I know thinking Arko smelled nice!! lol.

Seems like I spoke to soon. Last night she reminded me that I "smell like an 80 year old". Shame as I quite like the smell myself, especially now that it has mellowed so much after being open for a month or so.

I don't get how I "smell nice" when she thinks its coming from my clothes and i smell like an 80 year old when she knows its from shaving. Go figure.

Anyway, I'm enjoying Arko's lathery goodness and I like the smell.

I don't usually put scented after-shave on when I'm done shaving, but might give that a try tonight. Lets see which scent will win out!

Lets see which scent will win out!

The scent of the Aftershave will win out. The scent of shaving soap/ shaving cream doesn't hang around for more than a couple of minutes after the shave; nor is it designed too.

Arko is really smelly on the soap itself. No scent on your skin, at least not for long.
