What's new

I really should put these pens out of my mind completely

but I can't. Check out this Nakaya collection! That's a great pen blog, too, by the way. I could see myself buying a Nakaya one day, but I don't think it'll be anytime soon.

Still, they're lovely pens to drool over.

The other reason I like looking at pen collections like that one is that it makes my FPAD look quite reasonable and extremely well controlled.

Yeah the Nakaya and now after searching the net for the Visconti pens from another post, I am ready to pull and oceans 11, 12 or 13. So who ever is up to it let me know I'm taking a list of names.

I love the red one almost smack in the middle. I've seen it in a black with red coming through as well. The prices though...way out of my pay grade

I have one and it is certainly worth the cost. When you see all the care that went into the packaging and details your first thought is that someone loved this pen, loved creating it and sending it to you. The feeling of holding one in your hand is hard to describe. It is like no other pen.

We have three or four members with them, all love the pen
.. just not enough to take pictures lol, always figured they were just being kind to the rest of us who don't have them, you know not wanting to tease us with an awesome pen

I like the orange one in the middle, and the butterscotchy one 2 from the right, but the rest of them don't do much for me.

I do wonder how I'd feel about it after the purchase. I bought one of the Pelikan M800 Tortoise pens but sold it. Our cat had a big, unexpected vet bill, so the proceeds went to that. Even it the cat hadn't needed taking care of, I doubt I would have kept the pen. I have no qualms about carrying around and using a $200 (or less) pen, but a $550+ pen might not be something I'd be comfortable owning. I dunno. To me, those pens are akin to purchasing art, as was the Tortoise M800. If I don't use a pen, though, I can't justify keeping it, no matter how much I like it.

That's my issue with some of the really expensive, unique pens. I would like to own one, but I know that I'd be almost afraid to use it.
