I need some advice on the Progress

Hey guys maybe some one can give me some advice on what to do. I bought a Merkur Progress, which I returned to the store. They sent it back to the factory and they sent me a new one. I still have the same problem one sides gap was more open then the other and even on the smallest stetting sub 1 you still see a gap on both side but more on the one side. Is this normal, I tried emailing DOVO but have not gotten any responses yet. I was really looking forward to using the Progress but I have been big time disappointed. Do I keep returning it untill I get a good one? This all seems to be a bit much.

I have a Mergress that has the same problem. I hesitate to call it a problem since it is my best shaver to date. I really can't tell the difference when I am shaving. I can see the difference but then again, yours may be more severe than mine. There has been a lot of talk on this forum about this razor and Merkur's quality control. I admit that I wish it were perfect but functionally it out performs it's asthetic imperfections. I would shave with it and see how it performs.

Mine has a slant effect but I'm not sure if it the same problem. The cut on the head was made progressively deeper from one side to the other. It is the same on both sides. This makes the side that is cut shorter push the blade down farther. I also contacted dovo to no avail. The shave is still good so I continue to use it and try to ignore it as it is just more of a bother to me that it isn't perfect since it doesn't give me a bad shave. I do wonder if it could be better...

Not sure if your taking about the top and middle head piece going to one side. In that case it is the spring.
