I might be crazy...

I might be crazy, but I did it anyway!

Yesterday, as I was contemplating my morning shave, I entertained a frightening prospect. You see, I had to be very careful in my razor selection because the blade currently in-use is the legendary Feather. Now the Feather is one of my favorite blades, and has provided very smooth shaves in the past, but as of yet I have only used it in a few of my more mild razors. However, this time, for that particular Feather's second use, I decided to put it in one of my most aggressive razors, the equally legendary Red Tip Super Speed!

Because this was a combo previously untested, the fear of bloodletting was high.

I chose to lather using my much loved Coates Tea Tree and Rosemary cream, and proceeded to prep, all the while wondering of I was going to survive.

Let me just skip ahead to the results. I had, quite possibly, the closest, least irritating shave of my entire wet-shaving life! It was fantastic. Three passes, not one nick, not a single weeper, no tenderness or redness! It was luxury I had not yet experienced.

I finished it off with some Aqua Velva, which had almost no sting, and then treated myself to a little Nutriment just because I wanted it. It was superb!

This is definitely a winning combo in my shave den.

agreed- my daily shaver is a Merkur slant with a Feather. Great shaves can be had with a modecum of care

I just shake my head in wonderment when I read such writings on the feather razor blade.

It is as if some equate it with mystical properties.

IMO is is a good blade as are others.

No better no worse. As much as YMMV applies to blades the feather is after all just another blade among many.

Oddly enough, I've noticed that when people start a sentence with "I might be crazy" they usually aren't, but when they start with "I know I'm not crazy", odds are that they are.
