I tried them a while ago on the Lord L6 and I felt that while they were sharp I also felt like they "bend" easily, I speculate they are made of thinner/more flexible metal than other brands. Still though I felt they had potential but I kept the closed combs with either Lord Platinum or Gillette blacks.
I recently started shaving with a Gillette NEW and none of my usual blades (Gillette, Lord, Astra) felt right with it. The shave was close but also too aggressive. I had a hunch that the Derbies would work well in this scenario and popped one in last night.
All I can say is wow, that was one of the best shaves ever.
I didn't aim for a BBS, just a one pass nice and even DFS and that was exactly what I got. Zero irritation and mowing the wild (yet enchanted) forest which is my chin was the easiest task to date.
Something about the angle of the NEW and these blades just worked so well for me.
When their price on Amazon drops to ~6 I'd get a few hundreds.
Next step: Dorco. These were nasty last time I used them.. they could be a diamond in the rough with the OC... A shave botched would never come back...
