Well I use a balm but nothing alcohol based. I'm wondering if I need a splash. If so where is a good start. Old Spice and Brutt seem..... I dunno "old" to me. I also don't want to kill the cologne I use also. My balm is Prorasso and doesn't have much smell. Anyone have any suggestions? Should I just go the witch hazel route?

I wasn't a regular AS user until I picked up a bottle of Speick. It was better than I expected it to be and routinely use an aftershave splash. I find the scent pleasant yet mild and short lasting. For me, this is ideal as I don't want an AS that interferes with whatever cologne I wear.
Witch Hazel is awesome - I would suggest Thayer's brand.

If you don't want alcohol, and you don't want scent, why don't you try splashing distilled water on your face?

Try the Witch Hazel first and see if that works for you. I've tried the Thayers, but I prefer the Dickinson's with a little alcohol in it. The alcohol is only 14%, but I find it more soothing than Thayers and the "smell" dissipates in seconds so it won't interfere with your cologne. If you want more alcohol, you could try Aqua Velva AS with the "Caution: Flammable when wet" warning on the jar.
