What's new

I do NOT have a problem!

I'll admit it: I have about five hundred DE blades in my bathroom drawer. It happened quite innocently . . . my local barber supply shop was moving, and they put the whole store on clearance, and, well, doesn't stainless steel last forever? And how could I not? And now I have a 5-10 year supply of razor blades, which makes me feel a little bit silly.

Only, just this morning, I was paying bills, and I noticed, even after throwing out all the broken ones, I still have at least 50 pens and pencils lying around. Which has got to be well more than a lifetime supply, because I'm certain that I've had some of these since grade school (back when I actually used them all the time.) And you couldn't buy those pens for the $20 I spent on my blades . . . so either I have two problems, or none at all.

I won't even mention T-shirts.

At one point I thought 500 blades was a lot of blades. I definitely built up a large collection so don't feel so bad. Once you hit 5 digits, however, you probably have a problem.

Ummmm . . . Dorco and Merkur.:blushing:

I actually get a good shave with both of them . . . I think the sharpest blades are probably best left to people who have perfected their technique.

And I just went back to the same store . . . they're clearing out their VDH at 50c a puck. I was able to avoid buying any, although, come to think of it, I could've bought a lifetime supply for about $20.

When I first read this post, I inadvertantly thought you indicated that you had 500 "razors". I would have been really impressed/awed..........:w00t:
