So, if any of you have been paying attention I have sworn off shaving related purchases. If not, click the link.
However, I got home from work today and had a package waiting on my doorstep.
Inside of it was a 1934 Red and Black Deluxe 57g (to the best of my identification abilities)
These are the photos of it that I took immediately after unpacking. There is some slight plating loss on the head, but the handle is in great condition and it has two sealed original blades. I am very tempted to give the blades a go after some disinfecting. I don't think that they would need it, seeing as they are still sealed, but they are only wrapped in paper and a lot can happen to something in 79 years. The only reason I don't want to try them is... well... what if I love them? Where will I get more? I will end up hunting down 1934 Gillette blue blades?? No. I think they will stay in the package until I can accept that they are a one shot deal regardless of performance.
Anyway, here are the pictures. I will update with new ones once I clean it up. I paid $40. I dont know if that is a good price or not, but the others that I see on ebay are going for $60-$75...
