At our house we just completed a makeover of a bathroom. Its the bathroom I use, the one which has all my shaving gear. It wasn't a full makeover, but we did replace the vanity, mirror, lights, and tiled the floor. The old vanity was half the size of the new one, and the new effect is quite stunning. I had to remove all my stuff from inside the old vanity and a chest of drawers I used which was to the side of the old vanity. I put all the stuff into a large box, and for the week or so until the work was done all my shave gear was in several places.
Today I gathered all my gear to put into the new vanity. The new one has tons of room, and all my shave gear fits with room to spare
As I was putting everything in its place I found this white sleeve covering a red box inside. I opened the box and there inside was a brand new Shavemac 177 brush in finest badger, never used. I must have bought this brush several months ago and somehow it got put in the back of a drawer and forgotten about. Anyway, what a great surprise it was indeed.
I have 6 brushes, all of different makers, in my rotation with my newest being a Savile Row, which I really enjoy. I've been giving some thought to buying a Shavemac. but now of course I don't have to. Looks like I've got 7 brushes in my rotation. I guess I'll have to go through my stuff more often.
Oh yeah, ALL me shave gear is now in one large container in the new vanity, so this shouldn't happen again. I think a good lesson learned from this is to make sure you know what gear you have.
