I decided to treat myself, due to the price, to a bottle of Hudson Baby Bourbon. I had heard and read about it last Christmas but never got a chance to be in the neighborhood of the liquor store that advertised it. Well I was yesterday so I stopped in to check it out and my wife talked me into buying it.
Couldn't wait to try it out but it took a bit of work to get the wax off the cap/cork. Noticed a little stronger aroma from my go-to bourbon, Woodford Reserve. First sip also a little stronger. Immediate burn dies quickly on the palate though and then a sweetness comes through which I think may be from the corn. I also got a big taste of carmel. All in all a pleasant bourbon and I am glad I made the purchase. Curious if anyone else has tried this and what you thought?
