How to Larry at Whippeddog take payments?

Hi, I've been using a Shavette so far, but now I've gotten my hans on a "real" straight razor, but it needs a honing. I planned on sending it to Larry at Whippeddog. How does he usually take his payments? Regular money transfers or what?

Larry accepts PayPal or credit cards. When you submit your information to reserve your razor, he'll respond back with payment information. In fact, I submitted mine not 10 minutes ago.

welcome Butch. seems your question has been answered - you will find Larry very accomodating and a genuinely wonderful man. I am hard pressed to think of anyone who has done as much to help get people into straight razor shaving as he has - whether it's providing fair priced shave ready razors, strops to learn on, honing stones on the cheap and other services to make your entry into the world of Straights as simple as possible without breaking the bank.

Silly question. If you're under 18, can you even legally buy a straight razor? I thought that 18 was the minimum anyway. You may need to get your folks to buy it for you.

There is actually no federal (US) law that dictates minimum age to purchase or possess a knife/razor or any other edged tool. Many stores and companies have policy to avoid any liability and some municipalites may have local laws regarding age to own or buy.

Nobody asked for my ID when I bought my Straight or my Shavette (both arrived today! - Straight from WD!).

What bass ackward country would have laws like that?

Yes, but Larry has stopped sharpening those, they just don't make lather with enough cushion to justify shaving with them anymore.

I have a Dovo Shavette, which I've been using for a couple of weeks. The straight razor is a Holeka made in Solingen, Germany.
