how to change refill

hi,
I got a conklin roller ball pen yesterday. It is twist to open pen. I want to change the refill but it won't come out. can someone help me changing the refill? the top cap come out by pulling it, but the inside assembly does not come out. if i twist it counterclockwise it retracts the tip but refill does not come out.

Nothing on their website about it... or no paper insert in the box? Wonder if my box has something.... one sec

Sorry I looked but it only has crescent fill instructions... hit the contact us link on the conklin website here see if they can send you a pdf of the pens instructions

Bobusa,
Did you not get my PM? That pen opens by turning it counterclockwise. It will stop when the tip retracts. Keep turning and it will unscrew. If you have pulled the cap off by force, it is a press fitting. You can then turn the metal barrel counterclockwise to open it. Then when you put it back together, replace the press fit cap.

Chris,
I tried what you said but it did not work :001_huh:. i turn the barrel counterclockwise and tip goes in and then if i keep turning counterclockwise nothing happens. I tried this with and without removing back cap.

You shouldn't be removing the back cap, as it is a press fitting. When you turn the cap counterclockwise, it should close and then unscrew. I would suggest making sure the cap is pressed on properly and then twisting it off.
