How many hours do you think about shaving in a day? For me I'm thinking maybe 7 hours a day. That could be a conservative figure.

Anytime I'm bored it sort of pops into my head. Being that's it's such a great hobby and I enjoy it, I see no problem with that.

If I had a bad shave, I can feel the pain all day. If I had a good shave, I'm constantly proud of it.

Weekday or weekend? Plainly, time spent on B&B counts as well. I'm casting a vote, but can't say on the grounds it might incriminate me.
If time spent on B&B counts, then I am in trouble.

Does time spent organizing and inventory-ing blades count? What about time spent on eBay looking for NOS blades and mis-labeled Red Tips?

The wife's investment
Not sure I can answer this one. It's kind of like asking how many hours I think about breathing. It is not quantifiable.

Seriously, when I am thinking, researching or posting about razors the thought of actual shaving never crosses my mind. I see them, and the blades, as collectible tools and interesting subjects. Therefore, my time actually spent thinking about shaving is very minimal.

I think the intent of the original question posed was shaving and shaving related thoughts, or put another way, daily hours consumed thinking about the hobby of wet shaving. Blades, soaps, brushes - you get the picture. Am I right Rainman?

Too many. I spend my night at work waiting to get home and get on this site. I love to look at my collection. I look forward to my shave every evening. This may have become an obsession.

Before wetshaving and discovering Badger & Blade...ZERO.

Since then...most of my hours I'm awake. My wife thinks I'm obsessed, she's probably right.

I busted up my arm and had surgery on it, so I won't be lifting weights and working out for a while (my last "obsession" according to her). So, I needed a new manly hobby. Shaving does the job.

I'm even finishing up building a wooden shaving stand for my brush, razors and bowl...ONE HANDED.

I'll post up a photo when I'm done...looking very nice...red mahogany finish with some brass hardware and even some gold leaf applied.
