How long do Mama Bears last?

I just made my first order of Mama bears soaps and was wondering, if you were to use a 1 MB soap exclusively, every day, how long do you think the puck would last? (the reason I ask is because i´m planning an extended trip outside of the country and am going to be bringing only the essentials for shaving)

Can't answer the MB question, but depending on where you are going you may be able to get everything you need there. Let the forum know where you are going and chances are someone can tell you where all the cool shops are and maybe some good barbers.

Seriously: they last a fair old while as far as I've heard. The problem is that your lathering technique and water hardness will affect this greatly.

Lathering on top of the soap will use it up faster, as will hard water. Also making more lather than you need will use the soap up faster than need be. However I would be very surprised if you were to finish it in less than two months of shaving everyday.

Finally, if you plan on taking only one soap with you, I would strongly urge you to get to know it very well before you go. That way you won't find yourself in a position where you can't shave. I'm also going away for a while and plan on taking at least two shave stick, that way I won't be screwed if something happens to one of them.

Yes I agree. My first thought on reading your post was around 3 months.

I figure it'd last around forever. Realistically, I'd gauge six months as the minimum based on my experience.

I went through 4 in a year. But the 1st one I was learning to lather with and shredded it pretty quick just be experimenting.

Turtles are vicious creatures man... I was swimming in the ocean this summer, one spotted me and came right up to me... if I wasn't floating in salt water I would have had to change my pants.

I've got a tub of Orange Orange that I've been using once a week or so since January. At the rate I'm using it up I'll have to reorder sometime in 2011.

Thanks for the input, its seems as though I could probably expect about 3 months...can´t wait to try MBs, if theyre as good as everyone says, i know ill be happy
