How did I do?

Just picked this up today...it's in amazing shape...will probably re-knot it, but man, it's a beauty.

It looks like a real butterscotch! Would you guys concur? Sorry for the crappy pics, using the phone. I'll post up better pics if you guys want to see them. Any information you might have would be appreciated.

Nice! Yeah I am going to need to buy and old brush with a good knot and have it redone. May even be fun to try and do it myself.

That is a butterscotch alright. I have that same handle.

Just a heads up... Those handles are hollow and a little tougher to reknot. You will need to find a good filler for the handle. I filled mine with epoxy and ground up cork. Then set the knot with more epoxy.

Good tip Nick...thanks! It's in such good condition, I might have to send this one to Rudy to refinish. I'd hate to ruin it!

That will be even more beautiful when redone.

Unless you have done the refurbing before, I would recommend that you get a junker brush handle or 2, to start with, so you can perfect your skills.

Gorgeous brush, but not true "butterscotch" as we've come to define it here. Butterscotch is the color that Catalin, an early plastic, turns with age. That is true butterscotch. What you have is an INCREDIBLE Ever Ready with a butterscotch colored handle that looked pretty much the same color as when it was created. Enjoy, re-knot, you have a very special handle there.

Thanks for the clarification Darjeeling...now to choose a knot!

Nice brush! I have one very similar and your choice of knot is TGN Finest, extra stuffed, in 20 or 22 MM, set at about 48-50mm That will give you a brush that will do everything with style.
