How did I do? Ebay Diplomat

I bought what I believe (as did the seller) a Diplomat. It looks to be in good condition with some scratching on the head. It has date code A2 which I think means second quarter of 1955. I paid $26 + $6 shipping. I really didn't want it...but my AD took over and pressed the bid now button. I was certain that my meager bid wouldn't be the winner. Alas, I seem to have added another razor to the stable. :001_cool:

Did I do ok? If I decide to resell can I at least recoup my investment?

Looking at the pictures on ebay now. The razor doesn't look great in a few spots. They are certainly not great pictures. I guess I'll just have to wait and see...

Use it, you'll like it -- plus it's a good addition to any collection, a little scarcer than the regular US Aristocrat.

Congrats!

Ya done good . . .

The premium TTOs from the late '40s and early '50s (Aristocrat, Diplomat, President) were heavier and a little more aggressive than the various Super Speeds of the day . . . great shavers, and well worth having at least one example in your collection. My guess is it will work its way into your regular rotation as well. Enjoy!!

nice razors the diplomat and aristocrats, that looks in good condition for a gold plated razor, i have seen them a lot worse, one of mine is in need of a replate, that looks mint compared to it.
