History Channel: 3 Shots that Changed America

Please, no political commentary...

I watched this program on The History Channel today, and it was the most captivating television that I've ever seen. It is comprised of actual news coverage from before and after the assassination of President Kennedy with no narrative voice over of any kind. If you have a chance to catch this, you should.

Thanks Paul. I had just looked over this in the guide. Frankly, after 'doing history' all day, I need a break when I get home sometimes, so I didn't change the channel. Now, I wish I would have.

It was a very good show. Years ago, my dad told me that he could remember people back then saying that the CIA or LBJ had killed Kennedy, and it struck me that when the news anchors were interviewing people, they were making the conspiracy comments back then.

I'm a big history buff, and this was very well done. In some ways, it reminded me of the 9/11/01 coverage we had shortly after it happened...the stress and confusion was apparent in many of the commentator's faces.

One thing I noticed is that it seemed like everybody smoked....

Overall, I would highly recommend this show. I didn't realize it was a 2 part series.

This is an excellent series-very well done-featuring original news footage that I've never seen before. Highly recommended to those who may be interested.
