Close, comfortable, and quick (for me) shave. Enjoyed it tremendously.

Your experience matches mine. The Karve CB C OC plate is a good one, and has a proper balance of efficiency and comfort, IMO.

Yes! I did have to get used to the handle (took 5-10 seconds). Solid handle and so heavier than I expected. Now it’s just fine.

What an awesome mid-morning last shave of ARKO! August.

The star of the show ARKO!, wonderfully creamy and slick, was outshined by my Gillette Senator that I just snagged off the bay for a song.
Fully functional with a slight bow in the teeth that looks like it came that way from the factory, I gave it a good cleaning and Simichrome rubdown, then decided to give it a little dance before sending it off to Back Roads Gold to let Chris work his magic on it.

The shave was comfortable and close enough on the first pass that a second pass really wasn't needed, but the bowl full of ARKO! called out to my Shavemac, and the Senator obliged.
The Witch hazel felt slick, the Aqua Velva begged for two splashes, and the Nivea balm was very soothing.

Last shave of High Efficiency Summer and ARKO! August was last night and it closed out the two events for me nicely. Close shave, done quickly, with barely any aftershave sting. Feels like I’m on the cusp of replicating the shaves I was getting with my Micromatic Open Comb with a less expensive blade. And it was also powered by ARKO!

Really enjoyed this thread. As others have said, much thanks to the host. I haven't posted or shaved much in the last two weeks. Been busy and still dealing with a mysterious blemish outbreak on my chin that won't go away. Might be time to head to the dermatologist.

Anyway, had a final shave on the 31st that was good except for the chin. Getting annoyed with this outbreak. Never experienced anything like it before.

Looking forward to next year!
