I have a strick budget and will have to break it to get either of these
It is easy to say if paying 15 pay 20
If paying 20 pay 30
I need this razor quick and 16 dollars or less
It needs to be a mild shaver for a noob
Any help is appreciated
I am really eyeing The Lord right now

I claim no specific first-hand expertise, but I've heard that the Shave Factory is actually not a bad starter shave. The feedback I've heard on The Lord was somewhat less stellar, and neither would stand up to a user grade, mid-'50s SuperSpeed flare tip, which is what I recommend to all my potential converts. If you consider vintage Gillettes, you can get a whole lot for relatively little money. Time might be a factor, though.

I'd vote for a Tech as well. Get the fat handle if you can (generous PIFs notwithstanding!)- nice grip, looks cool to boot.

So I got the kit all together for my friends husband,
Feather popular razor
Vdh deluxe kit bowl, soap, brush
Blades 25 derby, 25 personna blue, 25 Astra sp
And two sticks of Arko
Should get him started
How many shaves to the bottom of an arko stick????

Get a Maggard razor. They have many different models for about $16. Great quality and a great mild shave. Awesome customer service. maggardsrazors.com

That kit should work. The Feather Popular probably won't last 75 years like a Gillette, but it will gitter done. Surprised you didn't go for a cheap badger from Larry, though. Nice blade choices, and between the VDH and the Arko he will find one or the other to be satisfying.
