Need some help creating a base line for some scent descriptions. Can anyone give some basic and easy to find examples of some scents such as: woodsy, mossy, spicey, citrusy, etc. Some are easier than others old spice and bay rum I would call spicy, Lime usually smells like limes. Some of the other descriptions I just can't figure out, such as woodsy, and mossy or even ferns? Then when aftershaves or colognes are described with multiple names I am really lost. For instance tonite I used Catalyst, it has been described with all of the above terms, I just don't quite get it, to me it smells like more of a man made chemical concoction, and is not bad at all. Not sure if I explained this very well...
