Help me choose a new brush

so right now I'm using Edwin Jagger super badger 22 knot and a Edwin Jagger imitation carbon fibre pure badger brush. I think it's 20mm knot or even smaller.

I love my edwin Jaggers but think my 22 knot super badger is to big.
The carbon fibre is by far my favorite. Perfect siZe and a little scrubby.
But I don't think it's dense enough.....to add the loft is shorter then my super badger.

So I'm looking for a nice little brush. Short loft, very dense. Bulb type I think. I don't like how when the brush is pushed down on my face the bristles expand so far out that I can scrub my face with out getting soap all over. Does that make sense?

Anyone with advices? Since I can only buy them online, I can't test them... I'm considering the adjustable shavemac but don't like how it looks

Does 1/1 Mean style one size one?
Yes.
You can see the description and sizes here.

I'll second the Rooney 1/1 for you new brush, it is what you are describing.

How about one of the Penchetta chubby's?

22mm x 45mm knots with 2-band finest

I'm leaning toward the Rooney. But have a few questions.

First is 3/1 silver tips the same as 1/1 just different handle style?
2nd. How do rooney3/1 pure badgers n best compare to 1/1 silvertips? Just as dense?

I'm reading that 1/1 is scrubby? Compared to wat?

Thanks for all the help everyone :)

Rooney handles will be different, the knots are of different grade. So it is possible to have a 1/1 in Super and a 3/1 in Super. The loft height or handle height will vary slightly between models of the same size.

From the Rooney I have in pure, it's dense and scrubby compared to the 1/1 in super I have that is dense with soft tips. I don't think Rooney Supers are scrubby at all.

Hmm I may need to but a pure and super 1/1. I like the scrubbyness of my carbon pure badger. I'm not sure but I think the scrubbiness raises the hair better. But I suppose the silver tips are doing the same but I just can't feel it happening
If the silver tip feels anything like my super badger Edwin. I think I'll love it

Hope I'm correct.
Other than vintageblades where can I get a pure 1/1?? I'm in Canada and they don't ship to Canada anymore. I emailed and asked...

You might drop Miguel at Martinez Customs a line. He recently made me a very nice short loft 20mm with a small handle that is nicely scrubby and does a fantastic job of lathering soap. Here's a couple of pics:

I still cannot like that swirled butterscotch. Looks a little sparkly in the pictures, too. The 3/1 copy looks nice, though.

The green is better than the swirled butterscotch, but still not doing it for me. I am a sucker for tortoise, and sometimes horn.

Thanks everyone. I ordered the 1/1 from trufit. :) I hope it comes real soon.

I like black handles... And the Canadian dealers only have them In white so I paid a lil extra for black handles
