Help identify an item

Today I was looking through the local antique store and tucked in one of the back corners on a shelf was an item I was curious about. It was a small green cylinder, about 5 inches in diameter and about 3-4 inches tall. On the top it said Brut for Men. I opened it up and inside was powder and a poof with a brass handle (reminds me of the handles on brass knuckles). I had associated powder poof as a feminine item so I'm a little confused by this. I couldn't find anything on Google. Is this something Brut made or has this container been re-purposed? Can any of you tell me about this? Is it something so rare I should go snatch it up? Thanks

They do not show up very often, might check ebay for recent prices.
It reportedly smells very nice.

I didn't take a picture of it, didn't think much of it at the time but once I got home I thought more and more about it. Mike H's picture is pretty much exactly what it looks like.

@Mike, is this a face powder? body powder? any details on it's intended use. It did smell nice.
