Has anyone used a NOS ever ready brush?

I bought one about a year ago. The bristles seem to be very thin and some are brittle. However, I gave it a shot. It shed quite a few hairs, so I put it away until yesterday. I washed it with with moisturizing shampoo and conditioner. After all that I lathered some MWF, and it worked great. Two test lathers and only one shed hair. Is it possible to use the brush regularly, or will the bristles eventually just crumble away? Just curious if anyone has any experience with this.

BTW the brush is a C40.

Interesting coincedence, I just bought (2) NOS EverReady 150s a few weeks ago and have been using one of them as a daily shaver, works good. Lost a few bristles during the first week or so but seems to be steady since then, looks neat with the old spice mug.

Ive heard stories of them going for decades, hope these do.
