This morning was my first experience with an open comb. I pulled out my new Joris and man what a difference. I stuck with my usual Red Israeli blade and on first pass easily removed 50% more whisker than normal.
I also found it a little easier to see what I was doing through the open comb, if that makes sense.
The bleeding came in on my second pass. The lower outside areas of my neck have always been an issue for me. I did draw a little blood there and on my moustache area at the corners of my mouth. They all mostly stopped bleeding with a cold water splash at the end (one did require a little styptic).
I have never had a BBS in two passes until I used this razor. I really felt the razor doing it's work. Made sure I laid off of the pressure and only had minor issues with angles (hence the blood). This may be my new go to razor. Looks like I will have a few items for the BST once I hit my 45 days.
