Handle ID

I got a frankenrazor thrown in on a purchase, and am trying to identify the parts. The head is a 1967 gillette, but the handle has me stumped. I'm sure someone here can probably ID it without too much effort. It's dirty and worn, but it would be nice knowing exactly what I have. Here's a pic, and thanks in advance:

Looks like an After Market Hanlde to me, Doesnt look like a Gillette Handle, I have never seen anything like it :eek:/ Either way it looks nice, Have you tried to shine up that bad boy ?

It has a very light gold wash on it, and about 50% is scratched/worn off. I'm not sure if it is aluminum or steel, but I suspect aluminum, since the area with no finish isn't showing any orange rusting at all and to my eye looks more like aluminum, including the finish type. It is a solid handle, and might make a cool replate at some point. I'd hate to do too much to it until I know what it is. I don't really expect it to be worth a lot, but it is a decent handle, IMO. Here's a close up of the finish:

I think if I do, the last of the gold will come off. I gave it a good cleaning, and got all of the soap off of it. Not sure yet what to do now, aside from using it.

Looks like a machinist made that handle in his garage somewhere. I would use it gladly, most home metalworkers make durable products.
