The Spiderman movie is not needed and I have had enough of those...however the new Batman movie coming out July 20th is Christopher Nolans finale. I am definitely looking forward to this movie. Wont be surprised if its the highest grossing movie of all time.

I agree with Blary. The newer Batman's emerged almost two decades after the Tim Burton and Joel Schumaker (both catastrophes) films. These new Batmans are far different and darker than the previous. The Spider-Man franchise hardly waited for the original trilogy to fade from the minds of those who dared to sit through the third film before they began the revamp. Definitely going to watch the last installment of Batman this summer.

I think that there's a new "rebooted" Batman movie(s) down the line as well, to be released in 2 years or so. Crazy.

FWIW I heard the new Spiderman movie was pretty entertaining.

Ditto.

I voted "enough", but I agree that the difference in the Batman movies makes it worthwhile (though I'll still wait for Netflix or HBO).

Spiderman? There were three?

Like the Hulk and a couple of other recent comic remakes/reboots and sequels... too much too fast.
It's more confusing than entertaining when three different production companies release three movies that are not sequels, but rather "reboots", in a relatively short period.

Iron Man? Loved it... would love to see a 3rd. But Iron man is not something that's been overdone... heck, it's not something that's BEEN done.
Same for Green Lantern and X-Men.

Batman is an enigma.
Half of the audience grew up with the campy TV series and wasn't into the comics... and even the comics of that era were somewhat campy.
The cartoons of the 60s and 70s tried unsuccessfully to move away from the campyness... they were not intended to be comedies, and they were not really funny, but the TV show was always in the back of our heads.
The cartoon of the late 80s moved to the darker side, and supported the younger half of the audience that disliked the Burton/Schumaker films.

I enjoyed the first film. The next, not so much... it ended up being too many villains introduced... it was as if they got bored and didn't want to write a 90 minute script around one, or perhaps two villains... when the original campy series did a full 44+ minutes around one spread across 2 weeks with the cliffhanger. Adding to that the villains being "minor" that were rarely or never seen in the TV series... it was a turn-off.

And so the movies are following the trend of the original. As the later animated series moved to the darker side of the character, so have the latest movies.... and it's not too much too fast.
The Batman franchise leaves the fans wanting more, and waiting a long time to get it....

... isn't it time for another Boston album release?

Not at all. As someone who enjoys to read comics, I never get enough of watching super heroes on film or reading different stories and interpretations through comics and graphic novels. There are so many different cartoon films of Batman and Spiderman as well. As long as it is enjoyable to watch or read, then that is all that matters to me.

Good God, yes. Enough with the comic book based movies. While I am at it, enough with "rebooting franchises," sequels and remakes.

I did enjoy the Star Trek reboot and look forward to the next one.

I would not have paid to see another "Next Generation" sequel.

I've had enough Spiderman sequels, but not Batman movies. Christopher Nolan's films may never compare in their depth and ambition to the 1966 film with Adam West...

... but they're still a whole lot better than Joel Schumacher's monstrosities.

I got drug last Tuesday to the new Spiderman movie and it was far more enjoyable than the ones with Tobey McGuire. The new Peter Parker is aloof and behaves much more the way I believe the character in the comic book would. Granted, it still didn't touch the Avengers, Iron Man, or Captain America, but it was enjoyable.

caught spiderman in 3D and I have to give it a thumbs-up (the 3D effect, not the storyline). Storyline is kinda typical, nothing new.
Love the scene with stan lee...

Replayed the Tobey's version on DVD (part 1) and realised that this version could have been even more impressive had it been made in 3D.

There aren't enough options on the poll. I think Spiderman should have been done with one.

The latest iteration of Batman is good enough to have a third and final.

I'm really looking forward to the third and (probably) final Batman. I'm not sure about Spiderman, I liked the Sam Raimi ones and don't know where they'd go with rehashing it. That said, if it turns out to be like when Christopher Nolan did Batman... I think it may be a case of waiting for the DVD for me.
