I'm a newbie to the hobby of DE. I truly believe that you can relate anything to golf. For me, the razor is the club and the blade is the ball. You have to be "fitted" for both. Know what works for you. Then let the club and ball do the work.
Having the best equipment doesn't necessarily mean having the most expensive equipment! If you give your average joe a 400 dollar driver, he won't hit it better than the 50 dollar job from wally world. If you give the greenest DE shaver a R41 loaded with a feather and MWF, he prolly won't shave better than he will with the 30 starter kit from Garry's!
