As a long time DE shaver I've been curious about SE razors. After reading many positive comments on the Alpha Spirit and some help from Greg I am now in possession of a Spirit razor. Knowing nothing about SE blades I followed the suggestion to build a sampler from Razor Blades Club.
I've had two shaves so far and am quite pleased to find there isn't much of an adjustment from DE shaving. The shaving angle was pretty easy to find and I've enjoyed two bloodless, irritation-free shaves. I started with the Feather Pro Guard, which was nice, but I think I'll be happier with the sharper blades Professional Super).
I am also wide open to recommendations for blades. I use a PolSilver SI in a WolfmanWR1 - anything that gets me in that ball park would probably be good. I would also say to other DE shavers who are on the fence about trying SE shaving that it's not at all intimidating.
