Was checking this out last night (with no intention of bidding) and was a bit surprised at the outcome.

Interesting... but the rules prohibit linking to a live auction. You can only link to a "buy it now" or completed auction.

Arrgh, too many rules here. Post deleted.
Not a big deal... There's a couple of reasons for it. For one, it prevents the seller from "shilling" his auction, but also, there may be other B&B members bidding and we don't want a post here to start a bidding war between members who might jump in on impulse. Ya, the serious collectors likely know about it.

Imagine for what it would have sold for if the seller had titled it better!
I was thinking the same thing. It may have cost him a hundred bucks for leaving out the word "adjustable," and maybe a couple of hundred for not using the word "toggle."
Thanks for saving us the trouble.

There are collectors out there and then there are Toggle and Bottom Dial Fanatics and they are in a leauge of there own, just trust me on this ;o)Don't get me wrong, that is a really nice razor. But, I would never pay that much for ANY razor. In my opinion, that is ridiculous!
I have one with price tag outer case and soft inner case but but paid about $350.00 for it. Seems that outer shippet box sold for an extra $700.00 ?
Like i said That NOS out Shipper Boxes made the price jump up dramaticallyI don't think that's quite the right way to look at it. A razor that is is truly NOS (as this appears to be) is in a whole different category even from the most minty of used razors. Sure, there are a few mint condition Toggles around, but how many NOS sets have you ever seen?
There are a lot of deep-pocketed collectors out there who don't even begin to blink at these prices.
