I came across a gold Fatboy at a local antique shop. It looks and works good. They seller was asking $40 for the razor, no case and needs some cleaning. I didn't know much about the razor so I passed. Is that a good price or should I try to haggle a little? i don't really want to spend much money on more razors right now but I would hate to pass up a good deal. What are your thoughts?

I think that is an "Executive" and that $40 is a bargain. I'd snap it up if it looks good and works well.
Hopefully others will chime in as I've been known to pay too much shiny objects now and then...

The Executive is a great razor both in looks and performance. A solid example (sans case) is well worth $40 any day of the week.
Go back and offer them $35 . . . but don't be afraid to put down the $40! Execs with their cases in excellent condition sell for way over $100 on eBay
