I've been through the same synth phase myself. For more than two years I've used synth brushes almost exclusively. Then one day I wanted to use again a boar. Just because. Since then I've used both boars and badger and all my synths are collecting dust...

I had been using mostly badgers. My plan (started at the end of October) is to use primarily synthetic brushes for an undetermined period of time and then focus on my boars.

So, yes, when the time comes I'll start a similar thread for my boars.

I just bought a synthetic "kit" brush from Maggards. You select the handle, the knot and also...glue. Synthetic 'Timberwolf' knot, 24mm. Ain't it a beauty?!!!

Today I tried my new Razorock 400 aluminum handle Plissoft. I previously didn’t care for synthetic brushes, preferring Badger’s instead. I think I’m in love with this new brush. I’ve got my eye on that red F400 with the 34mm knot. It must be a monster.

I love my synthetics because they don't eat up any lather. They perform the same every time and I don't need to use any methods to make them work. Synthetics from TurnNShave have been some of my favorites i.e. Quartermoon, Fan Timberwolf, etcs.

Milton's knots and brushes are top notch.

Really love the look of your Simpson synthetics.

How do you like the Frank Shaving G4?

For a 20 buck brush it is great! It does not have as much backbone as the Simpsons, but the bristles are soft.
