Glasswares in the FP world

Man I have been checking out some cool glass stuff in the last little while, the Script bottles with the inner pockets are cool to me, and i have seen some limited edition bottles over time that i would have loved to get, even the cool visconti, montblanc, iroshizuku bottles draw me in

there is a tonne of cool designs over the years its a shame we dont see much in the way of bottles with some interesting design features anymore

An interesting little item that you frequently see in antique/junk/thrift shops is a glass "frog". It's designed for holding flower stems in fancy arrangements, but it can be used as a pen holder/display. My wife has one and has several ballpoints(!) stuck in it and it looks quite nice. You may have to shop around to find one that fits your particular use, as the holes can vary in size. A decent one shouldn't cost you more that $10 or $20.

Food for thought, I live fairly close to a business that does their own glass blowing. They have some pretty crazy looking art pieces as well as some nice subdued stuff.

If there is enough interest, I would be willing to go to them with a few designs and discuss a group buy with them. Here's a site with some pics of the place and some of their work.

Here are a few glass or pottery pieces from my collection.

Waterman Sterling and cobalt glass rocker blotter and matching paper weight (the colors are the same, but the glass is thicker on the blotter, so it looks darker in the pics)

Interesting stuff and an artisan business. Come up with something useful and interesting and I will be in. Need to see designs before committing.

I needs to gets me a glass FP holder or two, for home and the office The guys at work already think I'm a kook born in the wrong generation (FPs, straights, fedoras). This would be just one more thing for them to peek at.

My uncle is a detective in Oklahoma City and has an old revolver cylinder holding a few pens on his desk. It's pretty sweet, but would be sweeter with some Vacumatics in it instead of cheapie Pilot clickers.
