Gillette Slim Adjustable variance?

I've recently acquired a Gillette Slim and i've noticed that the settings at 1 to 9 is a little lower than the other slims that i have. I was wondering if there's a variance between the slims. It seems that the new one that i got will be a much milder shave than the old one. Pictures below.

Above is the setting at 1. The one on the left is the new one the one on the right is the one i have before. As you can see there's a clear variance between the two.

This one is set at 9. The variance is not as clear as in setting 1 but you can tell the difference a little.

Is this a normal variance that the slim have? any thoughts?

Since they are mechanical devices, some variance is expected, especially since they are vintage. Good photos. Enjoy your shaves!

There was a thread a few years ago about differences in the baseplate of two slims, I wish I could find it.

The N or 1968 was the last year for the Slim. Some parts and pieces of the Super Adjustable that replaced it were used with remaining Slim parts.

Just shaved with the new one this morning. DFS. It was just a little milder than the slim i'm used too. At any rate its a good razor. Thx for everyone's help.
