Gillette single ring case information

I'm waiting for this new purchase to arrive and wanted to find out a little about it before it comes. I've seen type of case show its face a few times on the bay, and once or more in a thread on here, but I cant remember nor find the thread. Would anyone happen to have that thread saved or info about this case? Here are a couple picture of the item, they're small but that's all I could get. Thanks guys.

Congratulations on the score elmerwood! I think your set should have the diamond Gillette stamped on the top of the base plate (as seen in the picture) and in the bottom side of the cap. If I may hazard a guess, it should have a serial number on the handle starting with 'E' as well as the "G in D" logo on the underside of the base plate. There are a couple of threads about it, the most recent one started by Vargas where I had posted my set that's similar to yours:

The link with your set and the set Vargas has I remember as well now. Its a lovely set, and the writing on the box really sets this set off for me. I'll see what it looks like when it arrives and get back to this thread.

I'm still around elmerwood, but work has been keeping me busier than usual with a good amount of travel. And I've slowed down on collecting mainly due to me dropping major cash on a few sets in the last few months, but I do keep making smaller purchases. You've been acquiring some nice ones and very soon you're going to have to show us your updated collection
