Dear god these blades are great.

I used to have a lot of issues with open comb razors but these have really been that great middle ground regarding sharpness, smoothness, and being forgiving. Polsilver SIs are my go to for safety bars but too much for OCs.

Probably had one of the best shaves I ever had with a New Deluxe today. Have been having amazing shaves with English Flat Bottoms News. Looking forward to all my other open combs that I used to fight.

I think that Phil @ Bullgoose has some of these currently in stock and I know that over in the UK, (where I am based) - Connaught Shaving had some as well, as I bought a box of the blades shown in your picture.

Interesting. I bought tucks of these two recently and have them in the way from Connought. I don't know the difference between them except the color of the box.

IMO, the top one is a bit sharper than the one below. I really like the one at the top, one of my favourite blades, the one below I've used a few times and I find it very smooth but prefer the other one.

The top one just seems smoother and more forgiving. I bought the bottom one when they just started becoming easier to acquire in the states and wasn’t too impressed (seemed similar to the Silver Blues of the time).

Randomly just grabbing my vintage open combs and trying them out. Was really impressed using these in a New Improved today (a razor that I’ve fought with and lost many times) tomorrow will be a New LC

Dear god these blades are great.

Wow! I just discovered these, ordered from razorbladesclub recently. It is, without doubt, my favorite blade right now. Finished the last of my Polsilvers last month. I still have about 700+ Gillette SP (Black) which were my favorite blade up to now, and 400 Nacets, which I find just as good. I have a couple hundred vintage Gillette Spoilers and Schick Super Plats.

If I did not have over 1,000 blades already, I'd be tempted to order another 200 of these, but I think I may outlive my blade supply. I have the ones on cards, the solid blue box shown above. These are really wonderful.

I did shave #5 on one today, and I think it may go a full week, 7 shaves, not sure yet. The last couple may not be full BBS, but I suspect they will be close. There seems to be some consternation these will go the way of the dinosaur soon, I have no idea how one would know this. But if you're thinking about these, get some, you will not be disappointed.
