Nice read, thanks for sharing, the Gillette Guard works surprisingly well and I wish it was available to us in our local stores.
Pretty much the same info as their Youtube videos on the making of the Guard that they posted in 2011 and their press release trumpeting its success in 2012.
It is a very good razor, so much so that it's pretty much all I shave with anymore. My DE's are hardly touched these days. This thing would KILL the Fusion Proglide if it was released in the US. Simple, no-frills. It lasts 8 (three-pass) shaves for me and I shave every 3 days. You get used to how light it is. I routinely get BBS shaves with it. I like it so much I bought several backup handles and 100 cartridges
