I am about 50 shaves in with the straights and am getting progressively better with each shave. I rarely cut myself anymore and am getting really close shaves with two passes and a second ATG on my jaw line. I think that I am becoming more "light handed" with the razor, regardless of which hand I use. Also, I have learned a bunch about edge "touchups" and keeping razors shave ready. I have actually bevelled and honed up two Gold Dollars ( a 66 and a 308) with excellent results. It took about four progressions, starting with a 1000 Norton Stone and ending with 1u film to get them right, but at least I now have some feel about how to do it.
