Gepetto pipe question

Can anyone tell me Re: a Gepetto pipe (by Ser Jacapo) can the underside if stem engraving layout slightly differ from pipe to pipe. I believe the employ 5-6 carvers.
The circled S is under the pipe code in a picture from the Tinderbox and one on the bay has the circled S next to the pipe code (aka in a reading line).
