Geneva Cutlery Co. Razor. Is it a knock-off ? ?

I just bought this Geneva Cutlery Co. straight razor from an antique store for $15. Did i overpay? How old is it? It looks to be in really good shape. No pitting. Edge seems to be fairly sharp. It must be extra hollow because its VERY thin. Im afraid of breaking it. Dont even know of the scales are original because they are in pretty good shape too. Im just hoping it isnt a knock off. Let me know what you think. Im new to this world of straight razors.
Also, to start resoration, should i begin with 120 grit? Thanks for any advice or suggestions. Its says "Geveva Cutlery Co., Geneva, NY, U.S.A" on the tang.

knock offs?..in those days..nahh...its all 100% original as far as the blade and it's marks..but the scales...they look like they could have been replaced at some point in time within the last 30 years im sure

It's real, and it'll be a good shaver. I've had a few. It's some of the better domestic steel out there.

Geneva didn't always put jimps on 'em. This one does.

120 grit to start is to coarse. Try 400 and work your way up to 2000.
