What's new

G'Day!

Hi everyone,

My name is Andy, and I am the new steward for the Clubhouse, wanted to take a few moments and introduce myself.

I am not the fittest person in the world (far from it), but am hoping to change that in the not too distant future.
Little while ago I came to a decision that some weight loss was in order and tasked myself with the goal of losing 40lbs (anyone know where I can hide it??)

I enjoying cycling (both road and MTB) as well as walking, and am going to give the couch to 5k program a go in the not too distant future.

If I can be of any assistance, please don't hesitate to PM me.

Kind Regards
Andy.

Hey Andy, welcome to the new digs. On a plus side, cycling in Adelaide is bloody flat! Get a single speed and gear it high!

Thanks David, actually a singlespeed is on my list of bikes to get, had one when I was younger, there is nothing like the SS/FG experience!

FG is hard work, in my experience. I've had them, and built them. But after a while you realise that the nicest part of cycling is the coast down hill.

SS is good, though. Simple machines, and simple maintenance. I ride one every day.

Welcome to the Club house. Andy, I hope you don't mind me popping in and giving fitness advise or just joining in. I am a senior member over at the number one fitness site Bodybuilding.com [ think of it as a B&B but instead it focuses on fitness].

Hi Alex, no problems what so ever, in fact I would welcome you to.

As someone who has avoided fitness for most of my life, and who now is only just starting to invest in my health, I welcome any and all advice that experienced hands such as yourself can give.

Thank you Andy and welcome once again.

Congrats on becoming a steward, Andy!

I too have recently become more health conscious, and look forward to implementing lifestyle choices for increased health and fitness.

Yay Andy! The Clubhouse is where it's at!

Ya know what?....I think I'll attempt to join you in the weight loss. I'm going to shoot for 20lbs though.
