G5 Georgetown Pottery Scuttle Discontinued

I noticed today, on Georgetown Pottery's website, that the G5 has been discontinued, but it seems the G20 is still being made. They state a replacement for the G5 will be coming soon. Personally, I think the G5 was the best scuttle ever made...beautiful glazes, porcelain, and great design. I have a G5 on order from three weeks ago and now I don't know if I'll get it

I ordered one a while ago too but I just got it today. It seems like I missed out on getting the new version.... Bummer.

I called today and they're going to fill the back orders with the original G5, but are not taking any more orders. They stated the new scuttle will be about the same size, be more round and hold more water. The G5 has more steps and is very time consuming to make. I'm glad I'm getting the original G5.

Well that's good news. I liked my G5 until I got a good look at the bottom of it. The glazing is uneven and does not seem to have been done properly. I'm not a potter so I guess I should not cast judgement. My fiancé (who took quite a few pottery classes ) pointed it out when I showed it to her though. Maybe I was right? Regardless, I am satisfied with it.
