Futur on the Big Screen!!!

Sorry, this may be dated or already pointed out but.... I am bored off my *** and can't sleep... its late nothing is on so I turn on my PS3 and some Netflix (I am a bartender), and old Sly Stallone movie (Get Carter) is on there so I turn it on (don't judge), and low and behold a satin Merkur Futur is laid out on the hotel bed with his other belongings....a S n W .38, Beretta 9mm, some ammo, tooth brush and paste, aspirin and some badger brush I do not know. Thought it was cool since in the movie Rocko has a clean look and a fancy van dyke. It is a remake, so maybe an old Super Speed or Tech was in the original. It is not the worst movie ever if you have Netflix check it out!!! Its in the first 5 min, open credits, real quick.:sneaky2:

Isn't it funny.... you see wet shaving equipment in a movie or on TV and you immediately try to identify it. I think the last time that happened was in Valkyrie - I think he was using a plain ol' 40s superspeed or something similar.

On a related note, I saw another Sly movie in the theater recently and they had some ridiculous scenes with a straight razor.

The movie Rounders was on yesterday and there is a scene in the movie were Matt Damon and Ed Norton get a straight razor shave at a barbershop. I've seen that movie half a dozen times but really couldn't recall that scene until wetshaving.

I was recently watching 'Band of Brothers' again and noticed that in episode 6 or 7, while they are dug in at Foy, that Capt. Winters is using a DE to shave while at the command outpost.

Also while flipping through the channels I stopped on a Nicholas Cage movie (I think it was 'Next') where he just gets back after stealing a car and shows a quick cut seen of him shaving with a DE.

I can't identify DEs by sight yet, but if anybody is feeling adventurous they can check those out too.

(I wouldn't recommend watching 'Next,' but fully support watching BoB.)

I have been known to pause Blu-Rays, DVDs, and TV, rewind them, play them, and repeat until I figure out what is being used.

I do that too. I actually started a few years before wetshaving when I really got into whiskey. I'd do the same thing with whatever bottle they were drinking. My wife finds it a little annoying when I randomly shout out Balblair! Woodford Reserve! or Gillette Fatboy! during a movie.
