Fritz Bracht (Dovo) #70 Tennis Straight Razor

Hi wetshaving lovers and friends! Today I was enjoying the sun here in my hometown Split, the ancient Roman city. I was enjoying beautiful Adriatic sea showerd with bright sunlight. So, while I was enjoying myself I saw a stand on which were antiques sold. I went and took a look, maybe I would find something interesting. How happy I am I did that! I found this beautiful razor. I don't know anything about them but I would always take somethnig with Dovo's name on it!

The razor is Fritz Bracht #70 Tennis Solingen razor. It has few flaws. The scale on one side is broken, it has some time ware marks. On the tip it has some nicks ( I don't know the right word for it). Everything else is in very good condition. It has no frown at all.

Tried to find out more about it on the net but didn't have much luck. So I hope you could help me to learn more about its history.

Here are some pics!

Here you can see the state of the blade, and on the last picture end of the razor.

The blade itself looks to be in great shape. The Tennis brand is a very good brand, congrats.

I had the same razor, but it had cell rot. Since the sport has been such a big part of my life, I'm a Tennis fan. Not only do I like the name, they are quality razors. One day I'll find one in great shape or that I can clean up. Hope this one works out for you, grats!

Fritz Bracht ran Dovo from 1940 to 1953, a high quality time for Dovo. I bought a Dovo Fritz Bracht Favorit 15/16 in mint condition a few weeks ago. Shaves like a dream.

This is a such nice looking blade. I don't have money to restore its true glory and I'm still reluctant to invest in straight razor equipment, I'm still DE explorer and enthusiast. Maybe one day when I evolve I'll make it worth looking at and using it. Thank you all for your help!

Use it first before restoring. Try some scotch tape to secure the break. Heck, i'll hone it for you. Pm me if you want. Just realized you are in croatia. I dont know if my offer makes sense based on shipping costs. Good luck with it.

Thanks Jon. It's not the problem with shipping from Croatia, it 10$ with tracking number. I'm more worried about returning shipping, I'm scared it will be lost in transition if it's not tracked what is too much for me now.
