Free vintage shaving bowl

So I found my old coin bowl I made when I was 12, and I realized that it might be a decent shaving bowl, since it has an irregular interior, and a slightly larger size than my VDH bowl.

I whipped up a test lather in it this afternoon, and I'm impressed with the results. Who would have thought that my lack of skill over 30 years ago would pay off now?

It's not pretty, but it seems to get the job done. I don't know if my wife will like to see it on the counter, though. 😄

She should love it, since you made it as a kid. If she doesn't, tell her she can do what she likes in HER bathroom and to stay out of yours. Personally, I think it looks neat.

That is not a work of art. But it looks like a great shaving bowl. SWMBO, as turtle said, will get used to it. Frankly, she should love it. Functional and a memento of your childhood. What could be better?
