FragranceX and Non delivery

Hi Guys

I placed an order with Fragrancex for Tabac aftershave and soap over 1 month ago.

I still have not recieved delivery of these items. I live in Australia and West Coast Shaving get items to me within 7 days.

I asked FrangranceX to refund my money and they just stated that I should keep waiting.
I paid by Paypal.

Just a caution to you international guys. I'm done with this company.

Be aware that if you file a dispute with Paypal, you must do so within 45 days of purchase.

FYI, I have never had any problem with FragranceX purchases. I hope you get your soap soon!

Aww man i ordered some tabac maybe 6 days ago and then i made another order yesterday for tabac cologne and some sandlewood cologne, i live in Canada so It may not be too long, Australia is far friend, I think you should wait a little longer. It's what you get with free shipping

did you order the soap in the bowl, or a refill? There was some issue last month with them taking orders for the bowl and not having it and refunding people.

jag.........over a month now.......we are not THAT far. WCS gets my items to me in 7 days. they have had five times that long now.

I orded that refil and that had sent me the email stating that the item had been shipped.

I am not being unreasonable guys......their website states that I should have had this stuff 3-4 weeks ago.

not too worried about this as only small $ but for the sake of a couple emails I will see what can be done.

Completely agree - I'm in Melbourne and I've had items shipped from China/HK/Singapore/CONUS/UK etc and not a single item has taken longer than 2 weeks to arrive. If it takes longer than 3 weeks, something is definitely amiss.

I've had to wait a few weeks for FragranceX purchases and I live in Canada. Likely, they order and ship in batches. Also, customs can delay deliveries for some time. I've had items sit for two months before they were inspected. As for FragranceX, no purchase has gone amiss and I eventually received all my colognes. Regardless, file a dispute with PayPal but if you are a little patient, give them another week or so before you do.

it may be that they are getting tons of orders due to the free shipping or they just f'd up. Hit 'em up

they probably are swamped right now,the shipping and sales are good ,I have ordered from them before and got what I ordered promptly and not samples or missing labels or boxes type of scams...I ordered some tabac cream with this nice sale and at these prices I can wait a little longer

I hear you. I'm working in Japan now. My wife says that she sent me a package of books more than a month ago. Still hasn't arrived. I am done with her, man.


Actually this is a true story (apart from the being done with her part). The age of the internet makes you feel like you should have instant service. The truth is that the products still come by snail mail. In our post 9/11 world, customs has become even more arduous and it just takes a while for things to get from point to point. Relax and shave with something else for a while. I would base my concern on whatever the limit is for filing a claim with PayPal.

I have never had to wait this long FOR ANYTHING I ACTUALLY RECIEVED before. Whats more the PAYPAL date of 45 days seems to well and truly bear this out too.

So after finding no love from a few emails to FX I filed a PAYPAL dispute.

I believe that this is the right thing to do,,,, anyone who thinks otherwise is welcome to send me some money and wait over a month until I send it back.

I ordered some tabac in the bowl from them awhile ago, I waited and waited and waited. After 2 weeks I got an email from them that the package was damaged and they would refund my money. I didn't understand why they just wouldn't ship a new one or at least give me an option. Needless to say I was rather disappointed so I ordered from WCS and got it in a few days. I don't think I'll deal with FragranceX anymore.

I don't think you should be blaming FragranceX though. They are not the ones delivering your package.

If they show the item as having been shipped, it's hardly fair to blame them for it not showing up yet. How was it mailed? Any kind of tracking number?

Sharing your experience here is fine. While I understand and sympathize with your frustration, I feel compelled to posit that belittling those who take the time to provide their perspective, whether or not you agree with said perspective, is not the most effective way of carrying forth the standards of gentlemanly conduct we enjoy here.

I hope your soap and AS come soon. Tabac is indeed great stuff!

I ordered from FragranceX before and like you, I'm in Melbourne. No problems but it did take a few weeks after they shipped. I don't think it was in the 5 weeks but sure around a month. I think they ship the order by boat instead of air (which would explain your 7 days waiting period from other vendors).

I'm not saying do business with them again or not but I had a good experience with them.

For the record, I bought a straight razor from Russia and it took 4 months to reach me in Melbourne. The straight was shipped insured with tracking but as soon as it left Russia, the tracking isn't updated anymore...

I had a ~4 weeks waiting period also from Vintage Scent last time I ordered. I have to point out it's not Bruno's fault as the stamp on the envelop was the same day than his website. It just took time and he sent it airmail...

My advice would be to buy locally if you are not ready to wait that long. I think I had my share of waiting for the postie but I don't mind it either.

Relax bruiser. I still think Oz is a long way away and we're talking about shaving soap here. For my part, I don't imagine that the crack crew that runs Amazon is at work in the FragranceX warehouse, wherever the heck that is. Still, FragranceX has a pretty solid reputation on B&B. While, as other posts in the thread attest, there are some complaints, it remains a big source of Tabac products for most people in CONUS. Still, whatever floats your boat.
